Mirchi beef karahi

Ingredients:

1 pound beef, cut into 1-inch pieces

1 cup vegetable oil

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 inch piece ginger, grated

2 medium tomatoes, finely chopped

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon ground coriander

1 teaspoon ground turmeric

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup water

1 cup long green chili peppers, cut into 1-inch pieces

Chopped fresh cilantro, for serving

Instructions:

Heat the oil in a large wok or karahi over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add the onion, garlic, and ginger to the wok. Cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the tomatoes, cumin, coriander, turmeric, paprika, and salt to the wok. Cook until the tomatoes are soft, about 5 minutes.

Add the water and chili peppers to the wok. Reduce the heat to low and simmer until the beef is tender and the sauce has thickened, about 15-20 minutes.

Serve the mirchi beef karahi hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.

You can adjust the spiciness of the dish to your preference by using more or fewer chili peppers. You can also add other vegetables to the karahi, such as bell peppers, onions, or potatoes.
